The Edifier MR4 BK is a pair of active 2.0 monitor speakers designed for near-field listening in home studios and desktop environments. Each speaker contains a 4-inch woofer and a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter, delivering a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20 kHz for balanced audio reproduction. A dedicated switch allows users to select between a flat Monitor mode, intended for accurate content creation, and a more dynamic Music mode for general listening. This dual-mode functionality provides versatility for both production work and everyday media consumption.

The speakers are housed in MDF wood cabinets, a material chosen to minimize acoustic resonance and improve sonic clarity. Connectivity is handled through a comprehensive set of inputs, including balanced TRS for professional equipment, unbalanced RCA, and a standard auxiliary port. This allows for straightforward integration with audio interfaces, computers, and other media players. Their compact dimensions make them appropriate for placement on a desk or bookshelf where space is limited. A 3.5 mm headphone output is located on the front panel for direct monitoring.
